Yes with a bit of grinding and welding in certain places.

I wont worry about doing that then, gonna fit a few polybushes then decide if i wanna upgrade the suspension.

That'll make pride of place in anyone's trophy cabinet.

What is it with the short course favouritism? ha ha.

Just fitted my turbo yesterday so fingers crossed no niggly problems.

Is it 9 or 9:30 kick off?

Cheers, Ben.

9o/c kick off I think ben

only reason I do it on the short circuit is because its less harsh on the car, the other circuit at the top is a bit of a car killer due to different surfaces.
and I think the small circuit is more of a leveller for different power cars, also more technical

very excited about sprint day and just thought - bollox - it's 70 miles away other side of M25 (worlds biggest car park) - potentially driving during rush hour on a friday morning, not a good plan Sad

if i arrive in North Weald mega early to avoid rush hour, (i'm from guildford, friend andy in GT4 from cranleigh and friend rob in MR2 from Greenwich) anyone any thoughts on a good cafe to get breakfast etc?

sprint day starts at 9am, what's the general format of the day?
what time does it finish?
what do people tend to do for food and drink?
is there a petrol station nearby?
does anyone show up with a van full of tools? just thinking knowing my luck i'll need something and maybe I should bring tools and a few bits and pieces...

Bob - is your contact phone number on the day the one at the top of this forum?

cheers

Adam

Now that would be fun and we would probably be allowed to do it, but don't think our cars would be thinking the same thing affraid

I'll be getting there around 8 to avoid the traffic and heading into Maccy D's which is right on the roundabout as you come off the M11.

yep il be taking some tools but only basic stuff
yes my tel no is the same as one on forum

petrol stations nearby and we all go up the pub at lunchtime Cool

little tip for anyone that's not been before
don't use good tyres unless you've money to burn
put 42psi in your tyres as you run the risk of running a tyre off the rim if you don't, especially on the high speed cornering exercise.

you don't need lids with you but make sure you bring your license as they will need to see that

oh dear... was excited now i'm scared, i have no choice, i have no spare tyres, i'm driving 150 mile round trip, and planning on giving it some stick, hope my tyres don't fall off!

sounds very grippy! i did elvington a while back and don't remember much tyre wear... though my car is standard power (on a good day) so not really a tyre shreading monster Smile

see you all friday!

cheers,

Adam

As regards to fuel, there is a bp further along the A414 towards chelmsford; postcode is CM5 0AH

The pub that most go to for lunch in convoy is The Kings Head; postcode CM16 6BU.

Heres a nice photo of the area (blue dot at bottom = pub)
