Right guys I can see why the 200sx manifold as standard wouldn't work, but if I was to get a top mount one (needed for my setup ) would I still encounter problems? Really struggling at the minute to source a manifold so I'm getting desperate lol.

I would of thought the outlet would still be in the wrong position.
I havent been up close to one tho so cant say yay or nay.
Just thinking if it wouldnt work on a normal one because it puts the turbo in the wrong place. It would surely be the same with a top mounted turbo?
Hopefully someone has already tried or discussed this and will be able to give you a definite answer..

Im sure someone on the modifiers years ago had one fitted top mounted. Really cant remember if it was a pig or not but 80% sure it has been done maybe have a search on there if its still about

My point is stu that the bottom mount one puts the turbo in the way of the block or gearbox can't remember which one but if it's top mounted don't need to worry about clearance issues ? And cheers tom I'll take a look more than likely on the modifiers, I'll run a quick search

I just think it will put it all to far to the right wether its normal mounting or top mounting the turbo.

Im pretty sure the 200sx top mount manifolds fit the tubby in the middle of the manifold .... what are you trying to achieve pete ????

My setup has been done around a top mounted gt3071, need to get rid of my log manifold because it's gonna restrict the power and can't find a gtir specific top mount t3 manifold

Cant you have the flange cut off and a t3 one welded on in its place?

Can't find a top mount gtir manifold in general stu else that would have been a viable option !!! My head is about ready to frazzle... Might just buy the 200sx one and MAKE it fit lol and I've already messaged that dude, refused to drop in price, and wouldn't post either quite unhelpful

Seen that already Lieghton and emailed them , they told me that line of manifolds are discontinued, appreciate the effort though

I had the rwd top mount manifold from eBay, after two of them broke I got the stainless cast tredstone fwd top mount manifold and that's still going well.

It's my brother selling it I don't want him to sell it keep saying I will use it. Pricey it ain't. Quotes start around £700 -1000 at places like AAS up our way for the same thing pictures don't do it justis it's thick and good quality and people have been waiting months for bogdan and still no elbows. His work is vv good but no use if you can not get them. It's finding them these days

The top mounts can work on the R as quite a few done this, even the cast top mount is not R specific.
Custom to your layout & engine is always best but if limited on time you may find a cheap off the shelf top mount could sort you out. If use a cheap tubed manifold just brace it & turbo/wastegate well as can improve lifespan drastically.

Maybe I could be wrong but wish someone would knock a few options up sure they would sell I thought bogdan was the man for the job. Well he is but other commitments mean a very long wait. His sidewinder looked really good would love one of them

I've bought a top mount 200sx one now cost me about £280 inc delivery from the states so will see how I get on

As said brace it well some people even weld over the welds when new. Any link to the one you went for mate ?
