Wrapped my stock manifold before refitting this time round (someone on here gave me the idea) in "black" heat wrap (seems more grey lol)

I think it looks pretty cool, also re fitted the stock t28 head shield

Yeah I learnt that once so I dipped it all in a bucket of water and had some marigolds on so didnt get any of it on me exept fitting the bastard thing as when trying to get the bastard bolt on I had to touch it a bit.

Cant remember the make it was 10 meters from Japfest :-) also did my elbow but restricted the bolts a bit so took it all off

Question - Does the water just make it easier to install and it stretches a little better? Ive done with and without and didnt really have any problems either way.

makes it stretch & bed easier, tends be a tighter finish once all dried out & & had a final fan oven style roasting on a freeway blast .
Might depend on wrap in use too as some are soft while others seem stiffer & harder bed awkward wraps neatly ...

Thats true, the last one I used felt like a stiffer material and I didnt use water, was a bit harder to get that nice tight wrap around bended sections of the exhaust.

I have no idea woody really just tried it wet this time as the fibres didnt get everywere (well not so much) also found it easier to wrap and stretch as said it was quite a job to do as its not an easy shape I would have liked not to have crossed over so much but had no choice really due to the design. I had to grind off the heat shield mounts too.
