Fuel and brake Lines

Im getting to the point of ordering new lines but before I do need to check there the right sizes:

Would it be benificial to increase the dimeter of the fuel lines?

not recommending those in particular its just the first i found on ebay

I used braided hose for all my fuel lines and it was so much easier than messing with hard lines. Have you used hard lines before? You'll need proper bending and flaring tools. I tried to replace the steel brake lines on my old pulsar and it looked like rubbish and I couldn't get the bend really neat.

Can that type of pipe be used under the car?  Im using it in the engine bay, ditching the cheap blue fuel hose I got, looked good but it leaked through the side of the pipe

Got the flaring tools etc, wanted to keep it stock looking underneath tbh not sure why

I would run the underside in copper if I were you and same with bulkhead pipes, at least they won't rust

you can use teflon stainless braided hose under care if rooted well & secured well, allows neat & easy install in refined space/bends.
It better than most rubber hose as hard find good fuel grade 30r9 or higher & many rubber fuel hoses from motorfactors etc don't even have grade markings on the hose :-/

Take the lines through the car

^ you could with teflon, I would keep them outside & just route secure & shield much same as original layout.

Braided is ok but rubs and braided when they start to breakdown you can not see them failing

Yeah the common braided hose which is 100 series can't be run through the car. It's fine under the car, just make sure you use plenty of clamps to prevent the hose from sagging or rubbing on things.

How are people swaging/beading the 1/4" fuel lines for rubber hose connection? Have a cracking flaring tool for the brake lines but not figured out what to do for the fuel lines.

I'm trying to figure this out as well, gotta be a tool available?

There is but they are not cheap.

A pipe beader, but one that is small enough for 1/4 pipe.

Only ones I've found that will do small enough are the parker style ones, light aircraft tooling.

That's a flaring tool rather than a beading tool however a flare on the end would serve much the same purpose, just a bit harder to push the hose on, it's what I'm planning on using in the absence of a beading tool.

That particular tool though only makes a mess of functional flares for brake pipes, someone left one of those in my workshop, I wouldn't put it anywhere near a brake line.

Yeah fairly cheap compared to others so wouldn't expect an awesome job. Might get the job done though

Can anybody recommend a decent but not braking the bank flaring tool?

Ive got one of them cheap and nasty tools but after reading reviews not sure I wat to use it now! I will be using Cupro Nickel (Kunifer) fuel and brake pipe.
