Lol it wasnt working till about 5pm tonight when I finally managed to fit and bleed the bloody clutch slave cyclinder (cant the japs make anything easy ) and I only started it at around 1pm when I got home. But a nice little tip for bob and it finally took around 45-50 mins, but shes all up and running and I'll wash n polish her tmoz weather permitting and get some pics posted. Just out of curiosity what is the easiest way to clean/detail the engine bay and its pretty mucky under there??

yeah it can be abit tricky when i bleed mine through i needed another pair of hands things that are a simple job that you think might take you half hour turn into half a day lol when i had a clean up i used a toothbrush around the engine and various cleaning products warm soapy water mostly then a bit of degreaser ,carb cleaner lots of nooks and crannies to get round .

Ok I'll crack out the tooth brush very soon and get cracking with the clean up, really it could use a good steam cleaning but not too sure the electrics would be too happy.

steam cleaning is ok for alot of it i just used abit of everything one tip though if you use engine degreaser make sure you dont smother it over sealent joints as it isnt very good well it wasnt on mine

how you fixed for work in next few months leighton?
do you travel at all or just local?

I didnt think you could steam clean the engine, might have abit of a clean up when i do the clutch depends on how long it takes to rip out/replace the engine

Im pretty flat out bob tbh i got a little r5 gtt to re loom and a glanza forged engine to help build while my poor pulsar sits there screaming for some attention or do you mean building work lol im booked solid till atleast july what its like to be popular lol what you after then bob ?

Course you can steam clean it just watch the electric bag up the dizzy and bag the air filter maf etc and just do the bits that are accesible and the rest is elbow grease .

just a few little jobs then bob wish i could help you out mate knocking walls out is the fun bit yeah am quite lucky to have lots of work just the same as you though fella dont get time to do my own projects but what can you do gotta pay the bills a

I bought a strutbrace othe other day the paint was abit shitty so spent a while stripping it back to bare metal and sprayed it didnt come out to bad will put a pick up fitted soon

What was you expecting colin lol . thanks stu thought id just splace another colour in there as didnt just want blue everywhere my wheels went ages ago fella sold them to pay for a few bits .

Probably not to much more i think maybe fan cowling and the odd bit of painting dont want to overkill it like the more subtle look lol
