You can weld a plate in but it minimal effort with standard release arm as simply not much room, switching to a hydraulic release bearing gives a lot of room to do do something. Not many going need it but if similar had been done years back few of the proper big power cars could of done better at drag events & earned car more respect.
So this brace will actually do something? Or is it in a similar situation as the brace at the other end where it will only help in a few situations? Just rememberĀ it's not how you stand by your car it's how you race your carĀ  yoursofunny

If serious drag racing it should hold up the bellhousing casing for repeat launching, no idea on exact fitment of the stracher one on details of bolt/ weld etc.
Quite easy do some plating on the casing if go to hydraulic release so a lot of people could do their own thing. Don't think many have broken casings that end, even other end holds up well when using straightcut gearkit.
Nice to see the development though.

Yeah I was thinking I haven't heard of many breaking this end before. I'd be interested to know how hydraulic realise bearing feels over the standard setup though.

Generally make pedal heavier & shorter travel but all depends on the hydraulic bearing displacement. I have one on evo5 as changed from pull type clutch & had make a custom one with larger bore to get sensible pedal load & travel range.

Ah true I actually it might make for a lighter and smoother pedal feel. Interesting.... So the main reason for changing would be to eliminate the weak clutch fork?

A lot will adapt to hrb as using smaller race clutches & much like you point out also removes clutch fork & pivot. They can work well, one I had was not that good, done a test run with it & found needed resize the piston as much as possible (close to double the displacement) to get lighter pedal & more clutch travel to help control, was good base guide/template to work from though.

Oh yeah I didn't think about the clutch options using a hrb. It's interesting, maybe I'll add it to my list of things to try one day Laughing
