My R

Original loom is gone. The aftermarket one I'm using was originally on my friends s13 motor. Basically I just had to change some plugs/ wiring and shorten/extend a few sections. Was pretty easy as I'm not an expert.

Finally got my car running tonight, was very happy

Always nice when you can hear it running.

So what was wrong then, home and trigger wrong way ?
Should be bottle of JD now you got it running & put beer back in fridge ... bet feels good .

Yup trigger and home around the wrong way. Think it wrecked the tacho dial on the cluster though, it's stuck past redline now. Have another cluster coming anyway. Very happy mate, it's a big milestone

Just give the cluster a tap or remove the front cover and bump the needle. It will just be bound up on a tight spot.

For sure mate, motivates me to get a few other things done so it's ready for a tune. No worries about the cluster, ain't in hurry just let me know.

Got these 2 to install now. Probably wont be for awhile as I want everything running first. After all the troubles Mr Pete has had, seriously considering adding a PPG final drive to the list aswell.

You know you're taking too long to build a car when things are breaking and you haven’t even driven it my clutch pedal hits the floor now so need to investigate that this week.

Stop wasting time drinking beer and get building yeah never a good sign when things like that start happening!

That must be a new R record breaking without even being used lol. Hopefully a simple fix

The pedal in my R went to the floor as well when I got it. It'd been sitting for a couple of years, though. There were no leaks etc, so we flushed the fluid really well and then bled it up. Pedal was back and haven't had an issue as yet.

That's good to know, I noticed a very small amount of fluid around the banjo fitting so that will be my first check. Hopefully an easy fix

Thanks mate, priority is to get it running, then fit these and then focus on fixing up the body

Collection of stuff that will one day make their way onto my car. New front guards, the rear arches and sills thanks to mreguest, new front rails and some good condition rear rails I need to clean up

One day your car will be finished haha

Certainly is a pile of metal that will sit in my garage until I have the time/ money to get started on a full restoration:) its exciting slowing gather bits and pieces though.
