Any pros/cons in welding a diff up? Intended use Rallycross

Yeah best mod is to weld the crown wheel to the pinion. Full locker.

downside is puts lot of extra strain on transmission and not optimising grip/power distribution .
Could look at cusco plated diffs perhaps, use to be fair few of them in the market new and used .

It has a beefy straight cut dog box. After about 20 launches the diff(in transfer case) started to slip.
