The taller you are the more likely you have back issues at some point , the pain is intense , its natures way of protecting your spine from damage .
It can turn you into a complete mess , like a baby , you cant put a pair of socks on , and forget sleep ,after 3 or 4 sleepless days , you turn into a monster !!
I was lucky that I once had back/disc problems , whilst is was living in Berlin , and the local specialist was one of the finest in the world -
He advised to never have any operation unless an absolute last resort or bone defects , I did a series of specific muscle exercises every day for 45 mins and followed by a session in a hot tub , after 2 months I was right as rain and stayed that way for 10 years ( 3 mins excersise each day) then on .
Chiropractors -NO
Bonus in my case the Krankengymnast who I did my exercise with, was one of the fittest birds ive ever seen in my life ....a pleasure and pain thing happening at the same time

Well after 2 weeks of getting better and on the 3rd week going to Newquay on holiday I was brushing my teeth and it basically went again, so I had to have a couple of sessions at the chyropractors whilst I was down there, and just been for another with one down the road from me, and I must say it's feeling better but Jesus do they crack your bones!
Hopefully in the next few weeks I'll be much better, going back to see them in a week. He's given me some excersises to do, so watch this space

Yeah its quite disconcerting the noises they get out of your spine, but strangely pleasant too! Hopefully youll be feeling a lot better in a few days mate

Well I’m back off work again, it’s basically gone again, was going to the chyropractors every week and it was sort of getting better, any way I’ve been refered by the Drs to the physio who will hopefully refer me for an mri scan. Even my chyropractor said it’s time for an mri scan

Been to the physio and she’s said she’s not referring me for an mri scan, even it is a slipped discs they will only treat it the same as what they are doing, which is a set of excersises to do 3 times a day! Told me to go swimming which i did yesterday and that tbh has made it even worse, perhaps that’s just because of the excersise? Just taken the dog a walk and I was in a lot of pain! Going to try going back to work on Monday as I need the money......

And that's the problem having to go back to work not enough time to heal bit what can you do when you need the money ... I'm in the same predicament as you mate I need to take time off at least a few weeks minimum. .... but can't afford to and work is so busy I can't either .... I would of thought swimming would of helped as although your exercising you are not really straining yourself ....

Really I need a couple of weeks off like she said, but no work no money. I'll go back and see how I get on, if it happens again I'm just going to have to bite the bullet and have a few weeks off work with no money

I feel for you Pete, slipped a disc at the age of 19 and still suffering now at 26, changed jobs to suit it better and changed quiet a few things which I cant do due to the dodgy back. One of the reasons I don't drive my R as its clutch is too heavy cripples me on a long drive to a show.

Very true ^ you can do things that help but its something you learn to live with, even though my back is always sore I rarely notice it anymore.
