I have standard disc's with Wilwood front 4 pot calipers and tarox drilled, grooved and vented rear discs with Red stuff pads.
Can you recommend a better front disc and pads to suit calipers? Also better rear pads as been told red stuff pads are rubbish.
Mainly road use but maybe odd track day Very Happy
cheers lads

I had hi spec 4 pots on mine a while ago and whatever pads were in them were shocking, almost to the point I thought there was a problem with them! Then Johnny told me to try fitting some carbo tech pads, there not cheap! And they do make noise and dust.....but the difference they made was crazy! Instant bite, endless braking, I would recommend them to any one, but like I say there are a couple downsides..... Just a thought pal

That johnny talks sense. The downsides are way out weighed by the pros in my opinion

what diameter are your front discs !! as expect they not standard.
Lots of problems with weak braking can be down to automatic adjuster system not working correct on rear calipers so pads to far off the disc then you loose a lot of pedal travel just filling that gap & brakes feel awfully weak because of it.
Check whole brake system over, recon rear calipers are cheap (bigred) & even master cylinder is cheap if use the blueprint one.

the 280mm 24mm thick clio sport - scenic do fit the 280mm wilwood 4pot kit.
Not sure OP got the 280mm kit or just midilites on standard R discs by his comment on first post, if he measures disc he will know.
clio discs can be found easily & even some decent grooved discs on eBay.

had a look at these and do seem to be the only one's that do lol
front are 280mm (not standard duh) but they are 250mm on the rear.
pads on the front dont cover the whole disc tho? The carbo tech pads look good, but alot of money!!

I had 280mm clio discs & 2pot evo style calipers which cost next to nothing back when done it, went carbotech with them & difference is huge, not the best though if not doing a bit of track as noise & dust not great if 99% road driving.

Think i will go down the evo caliper route when i come to change my brakes.

If you have the 280mm willwood brake kit then the clio sports discs are same measurement as willwood supplied ones. just buy half decent brand & plain or with a max of 6 grooves & no drillings, drilled & smaller discs with loads of grooves can be awful in terms of braking & durability & noise.

I've just bought some Clio 182 discs for my 280 wilwood set.
Brembo HC discs, fit perfect except the disc is about 1mm offset from dead centre. Apart from that it's a perfect match. I got these...

£44 delivered.

And then also these Mintex 1144, £77 delivered.

Hope that helps.
