There's a little metal gasket what goes on timing chain tensioner doe I need it on because oil keeps leaking from it doing my head had it off 3 times

Run a bead of sealant around it. Thats what we did with mine.

We left the gasket in place.

Ok cheers just had a look think have caught face with screw driver when taking it of but of a chip on it just where it's leaking

I just bought a new tensioner and gasket. Gasket is a Nissan 13079-2J200 and it's metal with like rubber(ish) material.
Is there a top and bottom or can it be put on either way?
