My gearbox

It was more than just 4th gear Bob. Some of the other gears had corners of their teeth chipped off them.
I didnt pay a whole lot of money for the donor box. And when I have my good box out of all the bits. I will have a spare casing and other parts too.
Will throw them.in the loft incase I need them at a later stage..

The heated seat will help sooth your back when you put the box back in the freezing cold, you could have it on and every 20 minutes take a sit in them lol

Phoned about my gearbox today. I should have it back Thursday

They have stripped down two gearboxes and then rebuilt one good one out of the two and replaced the diff bearing with a new one.
Its all been parts washed too

Make sure you get the spares back aswell stu ...

I will mate. I might get him to rebuild the other gearbox if there's not much that needs doing to it..

bargain is that hes certainly looked after you there, how can he run a business and only charge that to fully rebuild a box, even if it is just with S/h parts
Surely he put new bearings and seals in there but cant see as he could at that price unless he makes them out of tobacco he chews and moulds them into shape with his tooth

If its all good Stu can you pass on his number to me please and il send him a pallet load of cases and bits up

I have used him before Bob when he replaced my input shaft bearings on my first gtir. My brother has used him many times.
He did quote me to strip one gearbox and then I think when I said I could get another gearbox or any other parts he may need to use to rebuild mine. We got our wires crossed as he said he only thought I was taking him the gears he needed when I dropped the second box off. He had already quoted me and said he would stick to that price.
So I have had a really good price for the work he has done!

That's an amazing price. Mine cost 3x that. Christmas came early for you mate

Just had a phone call. My gearbox is ready. I'm picking it up in the morning.
Hopefully it's a dry day so I can install it.
