Could anyone tell me if the gearbox and transfer box hold the same oil and if so do i just fill the gearbox up to the level and itul run threw to the transfer box or do i fill the gear box up and the transfer box up sepertly. Ive just had them off the car as the gearbox has been in bits for a repair and bybthe looks of it the oil would run threw from the box but just wanted to make sure.
Cheers

Same spec oil, good one for sensible price & quality is Millers CRX 75/90
gl4/5 spec, syncro & most lsd type friendly too.
easily available in UK so prices can be good if shop about or even opie oil if got good discount code ...

Gearbox 4.2L
Transfer 1.5L
Rear Diff 1L

Gearbox & transfer is separate drain plugs & fillers.

Hi, have a little question.
I mounted the front modena torsen diff, which oil should I put in? The same of gearbox? Or in transfer a specific oil for LSD?

For Torsen is not required a LS oil?

torsen is gear driven so no need, when I got one modena stated any good 75w90 gl5 synthetic would be suitable.

I have used a shock proof oil in my nismo diff as it takes some of the snatchiness away from it
But will be fine as Mr B said on 75w/90

And if you don't use the Miller's, get Castrol Syntrax 75/90W.
You may as well do the rear diff at the same time, because it is probably in need of some good oil as well.
