Hi all,

I would like to look at getting a spare T28 I have rebuilt,

I know someone mentioned a company called https://www.facebook.com/pages/Turbo-Bernies-Blowers/352262361478082

Has anyone else got any good contacts for getting a standard turbo rebuilt at a reasonable price? I have emailed them on Facebook but they have not got back to me.

don't fancy having a go yourself then? I think spike rebuilt his turbo on here and doesn't sound to difficult.

You cant get the rebuild kits and build it up and send the core to get balanced there is a company in blackpool do it iirc its 50quid to balance it you send it to them and they send it back think its a tenner each way ...

Thanks guys for the infor. Cheers spike for that, how did you find taking it apart and re asembling? I take it its the prep work such as marking etc that ensures it goes back correctly.

The only one I would give my money
Is one with a great big fleece

I've also rebuilt a turbo, same process then sent off for balancing.
It's not that complicated, best to do it in-doors away from a woman who will put all the numbered components in a dish and just leave them in order left to right, place new components underneath, replace like for like.

Don't forget to give the turbo a good clean while you're there (especially diesel ones, they get so bloomin dirty)

Did one of those variable vein VW ones, 30 minutes and saved 600 quid. Pulled like a train and has been fine for 18k
