Not really connected to the miss fire but mine use to do the holding back thing when I first got it and I think it was because my base ignition timing was way out,like 14-15 instead of 20.
It used to have moments it would run great then others it was real flat feeling although boosted fine.
You have proberly checked this already but worth having a close look at the pulley to make sure its still in good shape and the timing has not been setup with a fooked pulley.
And you also proberly know the ignition timing needs to be set with the tps disconnected and the engine under a 1000rpm or it will most likely be incorrect.
The fresh fuel is also a consideration if its only just started doing it,maybe you filled with regular unleaded by mistake and the det sensor is picking up det and the ecu switching to the knock map and making it feel flat?
