i would run it at a bar till then if i were you

sye...i just got an 044 pump in if you need one

This is true Bob, though it hits 1.2bar @ about 3k and stays till about 5k then backs off to 0.9bar so i thought that it would be ok? Ive opened her up to find this out so now probably just be steady driving till i see Ed.

well what a day me and lee had, started at around 9:45/10am this morning with dropping the engine out and had it all out by around 11/11:30, changed the clutch(all easy to this point), then we had lunch... and pondered about how easy/hard she would return to situ(which turned in to about a 3 n half hour job to get it back in as the buggering thing just wouldnt play ball and kept somehow goin in on the piss so it was up and down on the ramp like a bloody yo-yo but finally we got her all plumbed back in and running. Then bob said about the oil in my air feed pipe going to turbo that he didnt think it looked good Mad but oh well fingers crossed its nothing to worry about too much.
we finally wound up the whole ordeal at around 7:20.

big thanks to bob and lee

dont worry about the oil from the intake too much at this point but keep a check on the levels for a while.

the new clutch is certainly an improvment on the shagged out one but it does slightly slip still when u plant ur foot to the floor and it gets to 0.8bar but that will probly be down to adjustment possibly?? anyway bob cant thank enough for letting me use ur workshop and for lee for helping.
if u ever need another pair of hands dont hesitate to give me a bell i'll gladly come and help u guys

Was it a brand new clutch as I would go steady on it for a bit as you dont want to glaze it im not sure if it will need any bedding in time

yeah the clutch will need a bit to bed in, mine felt juddery and pretty horrible till after a few hundred miles, starting to feel better but sounds like it slips from 1st to 2nd full boost gear change Sad

yea i did take it steady only went 5th gear full boost after 150miles and i kept changing speed to change the loads on the clutch.

no wasnt a new one but was a decent used uprated standard one should hopefully be ok after a couple of runs fingers crossed

Got both seats in now, talk about ballache as the cobra subframes first didn't want to line up on the seat runners, then on the mounting points in the car.Lot of fannying about putting on and taking off again and filing to get it all working properly.
I could only get Silverline 8mm drill bits and blunted 2 of them plus a new Halfords 10mm as I remembered I hadn't bolted the last leg of the roolcage in the boot (as when I fitted it, I blunted 2 x 10mm bits doing it cos of the thick steel plate I used underneath the car), so finished that off.
Also refitted my spacesaver and hoovered all the swarf and shite out of the car.Had a crap idea to baffle my water injection tank(its just a camping water carrier) by nicking some of my daughters playball things like they have in soft play areas. To get them to squeeze in I had to put a few holes in them and crush them.My theory is eventually they'll fill up with water and help stop the tank surging.Probably won't work though.

Then turned my attention to under the bonnet and lagged the turbo outlet pipe and covered with a foil blanket so should have less heatsoak from the manifold now. Also managed to get my cold air feed to fit again with a bit of messing about so the filter is getting nice cool air again and it also has the benefit that it stops any water getting onto the dizzy through the bonnet scoop.
