RO_SUNNY wrote:One more and we can start!...... So .....my thoughts are like this.
I will need 25 gbp in advance for each item.....this will cover for forum paid amount, materials. After the batch will be finished I will be needing the rest of the amount so that I can send them.
But I didn't propose this until now because it didn't cross my mind....What if I will send the whole lot to a certain guy in the UK and he will send it across???
Dose that mean we will have to pay for postage twice, once for you to ship them here and the we will have to pay for whoever receives them to sort out individual packageing and their time to send them to us,
Might better if you just post them out to us would properly work out the same as you sending them here and then being distributed around

Who do we make the advance payment to as bobby stated he will take more than one do you can make a start on them

I think I might put my name down for one of these, are they a big improvement over stock?

I have heard the standard turbo elbow is very restrictive so I'm guessing this will be a worthwhile upgrade?

I just need to check my founds before i commit to buy because I have spent a fortune just lately but providing i have the cash then I will be putting my name down for one Smile

Hi Bogdan,

The temperature sensor bung required is definitely 1/8 NPT thread. The sensor is 38mm long, so if it protruded into the exhaust by about 10-15mm it would be ideal. That would mean the bung would need to be about 20-25mm high. Do you have any bungs that you could weld on that would be suitable? This would be a really big help!

Cheers,
Dave

Therefore each item will be sent individually to you.
So.....when you'll pay the money for the advance please also send an e-mail to bogdan.gabriel.mocanu@hotmail.com with your address.
Whoever is interested please refresh the list so that I can start collecting materials!!!

Bogdan,

Can you refresh how we pay you? Via Paypal? If so, do we pay the money to the email address you gave above?

Cheers,
Dave

I believe these new elbows come with a boss for a standard narrowband lambda sensor. Aftermarket wideband lambda sensors normally need to be 18-24 inches from the turbine exhaust, which puts these more in the downpipe rather than the elbow. I'm asking for an additional 1/8 NPT bung so I can add my exhaust temperature sensor to monitor turbine outlet temps.

Are the standard narrowband lambda sensors not a standard size?

Cheers,
Dave

I was talking narrow band  I use what I class as standard sure its 12mm and I was asking where to buy them everyone seemed to stick up links to the bigger ones. anybody on here using bigger narrowband lambda ?

RO_SUNNY

RO_SUNNY

As you can see there a big thread bung now.....so when you will send the money and e-mail the address please specify also the lambda size.
I have done the bung exactly like on the cast elbow......a bung threaded in another bung:))))))
The payment shall be sent through bank transfer.....or if you pacient until thursday I will set my paypal.

Hi Ro, Are we going to see the new versions first then or not, at least one before you start the rest, just to see how it looks?

P.s I would prefer to pay you via paypal mate, so can wait till you provide the paypal email address.

Where the cut was made the elbow still has 3''. and that part which I have replaced is round and made out of an elbow....in the picture you can't see but it round:)))

@Johny
what bosses....lambda bosses????

I can supply them but they will cost extra!

Thanks!

Yep extra cost no problem. Yes lambda bosses i need 12mm and i am sure the others 18 sure the 12mm is finer thread. So it will be 1 extra boss and two blanking bolts thanks

That revised elbow looks great and a lot better that the previous one seems it will have a lot better flow than the previous one
I think every one will agree its way better

New elbow looks to be much smoother great job mate.

RO_SUNNY

RO_SUNNY

Ok Chaps,

Elbow fabrication is set and ready to go.

Therefore I will need money in advance.

Please send me an e-mail which will specify the elbows needed and also your address.

I will send a reply and give you my bank account details (because I don't have paypal and I really don't want to have such.....my bank officer told me that paypal is not an secure way to send money).

So....hurry up so that I can start making stuff!

Cheers,

B

My e-mail address is bogdan.gabriel.mocanu@hotmail.com.

Please note that I will not request any additional charges through bank transfer as like on paypal....You will only need to pay whatever your bank charges for the current transfer!

Hi Bogdan,

I have sent you an email. Sometimes the banks apply charges per transaction, both in terms of a set fee and as a percentage of the transferred amount. To minimise these, I'd be happy to pay you the full amount up front for both elbows.

Cheers,
Dave

Paypal is a secure site ....and in some respects alot of buyers preffer to use it as there is some kind of comeback for them legally if the seller doesnt provide the service or parts ...
