knock sensor ?

alright guys, been having fun changing my knock sensor and am a bit puzzled to how many wires are supposed to go to the plug, as mine only has one and one terminal in the plug when i removed it but the sensor has 2 terminals is this right or has a wire got ripped out over time?

It's correct, the other terminal is for an earth, but the gtir earths thru the block so it does not need it.
