After months of nagging (text and calls) I finally got the chance to buy my old Pulsar back cheers  Although there is a few extra miles on the clock and there is a slight noise from the gearbox (good job my other half is a mechanic!) There is an improvement of a tubular manifold Smile She still looks good as ever Cool

The spec is:
Forge Front mount intercooler
Walbro fuel pump
Apexi Air/Fuel controller

HKS Mushroom Air Filter
Bailey Piston Dump Valve
Turbo Timer
Full HKS Exhaust, Turbo back
Tubular Manifold
Forge Front Strut brace
Whiteline Lowering Springs
Helix Organic Clutch
Speedo De-Limiter/MPH Converter
15’ Compomotive Alloys
Momo Steering Wheel
Laguna Splitter
White Dials
Pillar mounted Boost Gauge
Cat 1 alarm Immobiliser
Umbrella Edition

Still cant believe its back, it just goes to show if you don't ask you don't get! Yes there are a few things that need to be done, the first one being the Gearbox coming out and new bearings as quite noisy now! Don't want to be driving it and make it worse! Smile

So how did you go about haggling? Did you get it for a higher price than you let go? Also how long ago did you sell it? Well done for getting it back. Pulsar love right there...lol

I gave a few hundred pound more than I sold it to him as I wanted it back, plus he put on the tubular manifold, sold it end of January, thanks, just glad its back, looking forward to terrorising the streets of South London! And going to shows of course! Smile Cant stop going to look at it, LOVE my Pulsar I love you

Left the engine in then, never tried it that way myself.

Is it still the done thing to remove the front diff to do this or is there a new way now?

It took around 4 hours to get the box out and Rich didn't feel the need to take the engine out Smile  If you mean the transfer box, then yes it was removed at the same time, hope that answers your question?

Both times I have had my gearbox out the engine remained in. Ive also removed gearbox with and without the 4wd box but cant remember which was easiest scratch

Argh I see,its been along time since I have looked into it tbh,I used to just drop the lot in disgust when ever I broke something Laughing

At one point people were leaving the transfer box on and just taking the side casing off and removing the diff/shaft to get the box off.
Looks like its possible to drop the lot then, possibly made easyer if a few brackets/bolts have been removed in the past.

According to Rich the brackets and bolts were VERY tight!!!! Evil or Very Mad He took the transfer box out to make it easier Smile
