I have finally got myself some brakes that are the right size Smile
These are getting harder to get! And prices are rising too.
I just need to replace the bleed nipple. I snapped one off while stripping them down ffs.
Need to get some discs and spacers and then can fit them Smile

can't go wrong with some akebono 2 pots when fitted nicely .
Like you say not as cheap as was, few years ago 30-40gbp could get decent set calipers complete with brackets & bolts so with cheap discs kit was possible around 100gbp mark.
I used some of these with outlander mounting brackets & galant 294mm discs & carbotech pads on road & track and they were superb for cost (carbotech pads almost twice price of my used calipers & new discs) sensible weight to as not stupid size discs and caliper sensible weight & very rigid plus floating caliper handles disc runout/warp far better than fixed .

No that is cheap money currently really . What I like about then is choice of 276(280) and 294mm discs and fact caliper overhaul kits so cheap (11gbp) and discs potentially so cheap too making them cheap keep in good order. can warp dscs though unless spacer done well plus 280mm disc is 4mm too big so get 2mm wear lip on outer edge .

Silver or black looks nice, done mine black .

Mitsubishi evo 1-3, FTO (GPX), VR4 calipers all fit along with mounting brackets. Brackets are the hardest thing to find at good prices nowadays. There's usually a few FTO Mivec (GPX) breaking on ebay. Otherwise the new brackets are around £75 EACH! Then you'll need 4 or 5mm thick spacers to fit behind the Clio 172 discs.

These are the discs you need:

You might luck out and get calipers & brackets from this:

yes, they fit under 15's too.

the only other thing you need to do is open up the mounting holes on the hub to 13mm then the whole lot bolts up. Do a search for 'clio upgrade' on here for more details  Very Happy

I might actually put decals on my GTST calipers since yours turned out really well. Nigel ground them off for extra clearance, but he gave me a good deal on them so cant complain Smile
