Rare Black GTiR

Hi all,

Well it seems like I have been working on this R for a while (well a year to be exact) this is my second R which I brought as a project which soon turned into a big project and lots of money

Main things to date

Turbo failure - Replaced with brand new T28 Hybrid billet
Suspension Failure - Replaced with Good second hand Tein's
Engine mount failure - Replaced with good second hand
Exhaust failure lol - Replaced with cat back Scorpion system
Paint orange peel - Flatted back and polished up  (previous owner resprayed)
CV boots - all replaced
Interior - Replace to stock, steering wheel, interior seats and also repair faulty white dial clocks

Its nice to bring one back up to a decent condition and I am pleased to say its now running really well on stock boost and its a nice quite R which I can sneak around town in and the countryside without alerting everything in a 5 mile radius.

Today I have had the DA polisher out and continued with the paint correction. The previous owner resprayed the car black after it was a bright orange, personally I don't mind loud colours and would have minded it especially going back to boring black! but hey ho.

I still need to put the plastic side strips back on and sort quite a few other little bits out but its getting there now.

Looks great mate. Damn I'm jealous of that paint, came up looking great. Black wheels-black car is always a win in my books

Well Stu will vouch for this as I have been out in all weathers dying and messing my back up flatting back and polishing . Taken hours and hours to get it anywhere decent and its not a professional job by any means.

I never used to like the standard look and would never have dreamed of sticking a full backbox on an R but some how I have come to like it much more and have found it great putting it back to a more standard looking R. No dump valve, no goose drone no front mount its awesome!

I saw this car the other day.
Its a very clean car and the exhaust is super quiet.

When I collected the 5zigen it was pissing down of rain and he was out there with the wet and dry Henry paper flatting the paint back

The hard work paid off though it's good hearing you're enjoying the standardness

You missed abit.   It is nice to get in a one now and again that has as you say interiour quieter exhaust and heaters. Just been saying to someone else enjoy driving these don't have to be flat out all the time

If I could go back 6 years I would have looked for a stock example and kept it that way, in all honesty I am eating humble pie as I was always mocking stock R's and hated the looks but now some how I like them much more maybe its like growing up from Cider and drinking Lager to drinking Ale

Im not quite at the pipe and slipper stage like Sue always putting off getting it insured (I think he is scared of the power )

I will insure mine soon. I miss driving it.

Did you sort out the boost and lack of power issues it had?

^ this is my other one Bob im like Stu and cant stop buying them lol I have had it for a year now.

I still need to get that one down to you and get it sorted as havent touched it since I took it to Japfest 2. Will drop you a pm as need to get it booked in for you to work your magic :-) luckily this one is running like a peach

Carbon dipped would look very cool although would it stand up to temps? Would be good if it does

It should do as I was in contact with a local place a couple of weeks ago about it
