Hi guys,

After been chafted badly with my other R i brought this in febuary for my 21st bday. It was originaly Frits car on the modifiers, its what my car was going to be bar a few mods and fancy crap.

I have swapped the forge hoses over to blue, put stock nissan leads on and got rid of the hks filter that was on it and added a oil catch can for good measure. Just brought all filters and silkolene for it to service her and need to get two new toyo proxys as they were elegally bold so swapped my wheels over quickly.

Plans are to service it fully, maybe add some whiteline arbs and more polybushes underside, battery would be better in ze boot and possibly more boost.

nice healthy looking dyno sheet there tom

car looks great the only thing i dont like is that battery clamp (that would severely worry me) if that slips a bit it will short right across the 2 battery terminals and could result in a nasty fire or worst still the battery going up like a bomb

Yer I did notice that, quite funny what some people do to cars, was going to put it in the boot anyway to get some space but the bar is pretty firm and its not moved out the garage for nearly 2 months now Laughing seems like they get there little home and no playtime.

TBH I havent got the love for the cars completely back since having mine away for so long, its going to be a hard one to get anything much done on her at the moment as I have alot of work comitments so it will be staying in the garage for a while. I have an Astra VXR for a daily car now and I must say its alot of fun, and relatively quick with good handling which does make me think these old Rs are loosing their apeal

Been hiding away for a while, both Pulsars havent had my full attention to say the least. The R has had some of the work done over the winter months including two new ear arches put in place (courtesy of Poland the 5 door sunny panels) also had some of the sill replaced and generally tidied up. Amazing what you find when these cars are sold as mint Laughing

anyway here are some pics of the progress, hopefully picking it up next week as its finished

Your have to chuck some pics up of the finished job its never nice to see all the filler work lol ... have you had it sprayed or just the panels that have been prepped

Yer its not ideal having to fill the area but its the only reasonable way without too much $$$, once chopped out and welded back on its got to be taken back to how it was, hopefully with this been new panels you wont see the horrible rot under filler scenaro bubbling back up as is what happened before.

No the whole car hasnt been done, the paintwork wasnt that bad in all honesty, its having the whole two rear quarters and bonnet front bumper done but its under too much dust to take any usefull pictures yet

I wasnt knocking it fella its near impossible to weld it all in without a skim of filler ive been welding for years now and done many cars and still cant get it perfect enough to just spray it Laughing

Oh I know that mate, was just saying Laughing the person before had just filled the gaps in so the rust had come back and was all bubbly and crap. So much for the mint bodywork Rolling Eyes

I think alot of them are like that now unfortunatly pugged up and sold on to be fair they are getting old cars now .... but there is a way of doing it properly .

only way youll fit a panel and not use filler is by leading panel (which is a craftsmans job)
theres no way you can just weld it and grind down to a flat paint prep finish
