Hello all,

I'm after buying a set of vernier pulleys for my R. Hopefully I can get the cam timing 100% then! Smile Can anyone recommend the best place to buy a set from?

Cheers Chris.

I've heard they're the same as the 200SX??

What's the crack with them do people say the ones with holes rather than the slides incase they slip ?

The theory is that you have ones that are adjustable so it will change the cam timing. The standard ones are just a bolt size hole so you can't adjust those and therefore can't extract more power!
The idea is that you tighten them up properly so they don't slip when it's timed to it's full potential!!!

Yes mate just someone mentioned two types both adjustable. I personally thought it was something I had heard very little of sprockets slipping  but they said it was better to get .... Adjustable but once set could not slip as costly if they did

I don't know then matey, I'll but whatever becomes good and recommended!
If they slipped it would deffo be a costly problem! Evil or Very Mad

The two types, both adjustable, are probably 5 or 6 locking bolt types.  Each too their own.

Tomei, HKS, Rollmaster, Brian Crower, design are all 6 locking bolt.

There are 5 locking bolt types such as, GReddy, Vision (A US made direct copy of the GReddy) and Works.

Both types are recognised the world over.

Then there are all the copies of both 5 and 6 locking bolt types.

I know of 2 people using the Vision 5 locking bolt type and have had no problems.

Cost will be a big factor, as some of the Brand names will demand you pay a premium, whereas, Vision can be got for about half the cost of a Brand type.

I quite like the BC or Tomei ones, they tend be around the 200 to 230USD range.
good quality materials & machining is main thing along with what available in your region at sensible cost.

I never seen the vision ones, you got a link. take it vision available direct in Australia ...

The 6 bolt one in post 2 ebay link is chinese copy of tomei style ones, I see these in china for 20USD or less each, they look ok but material quality is low & anodising is very poor with no real depth/hardness.
I think you'll find vision are china made as well, never seen or handled them though, do look crisper finish from the images & as also got members with these they a less risk low cost choice.
Vision Motorsport web domain ended & no real details on them, they traded under a few names by looks of it .
