I have fitted forge light weight pulleys to my R but after reading a post on fusions Facebook page they say that they do more harm than good ..

So what do I do?

Crank best original harmonic dampener pulley as the far better engineering principal & less issues with crank seal. Only pulley I would change is the water pump to under drive it a bit but even that not overly effective but better than nothing if doing some track work which mainly using high rpm for prolonged period.
Cleaned & coated-(not grooves) original pulleys look ok too ...

Yeah as above the forge ones are fine
It's the other cheap ebay tat that's poor and will cause probs with leaky front main seal plus many don't even have timing marks in them Rolling Eyes

a lot depends on power/torque as to whether you can use these pulleys or not.
if you have had a crank balanced on build up with the pulley and clutch fitted then this will also reduce the risk of any deflection caused by having them

personally though I cant see the point in not having a damped pulley
they are there to serve a purpose being to absorb crank deflection from torque released which in leymans terms keeps your engine smoother running with less vibration so your mains, bigends have a fighting chance of survival.
many of these so called modified parts are nothing other than items which could cause you issues with tuning and getting the best from your engine and infact can quickly result in its demise Wink

and for what? a shiney pulley Laughing

^ Correct, harmonic damper pulley is best option really & does an important job, obviously most 25yr old oem harmonic pulleys are not in best order but a new oem one is better than any of the after-market ones. Easy enough refresh pulleys with new finish for those liking pristine engine bay.
