Popped up to Santa pod last night for a late night run what you brung, not really a straight line warrior as don't like launching the car hard, but don't mind give it a go every now and then.

Just wondered what sort of times people have been posting, top speeds, 60ft and what sort of power your running.

Mines 295bhp and ran 13.1 which I was pretty happy with last night. 60ft of 1.8 and crossed the line 103.72

White car was 319 they had the 0-60mph set up that was 4.2 and the quarter mile in 12.8. 2860rs super quick spool but tailed of top end.

Not that I was fussed was just a laugh but alot of people were complaining that there times were down from previous week or fortnight that it was on previous.

That was york raceway

I think I may take mine down the strip, but I will be extremely sympathetic on the gear changes and I won't be launching it! Id be happy if it was in the 12s

I haven't been to Pod for ages but funny enough my times were pretty much bang on the same as yours !!

Best time to date is 13.1 with 60ft time of 1.8 and end line speed roughly the same as you

Was running ~300bhp at 1.1bar

Was miffed i didnt get into the 12's with what seemed like good agressive launches - need to return one day and try gear changing at different rev ranges to try and get my time down a tad !

Still great fun though !!!!

This is where a good rolling road run helps you know exactully when you turbo tails off so rather than hold it in gear change up

I think Chris (mightydquinn) mentioned he ran a 11.4 that's a impressive time I think. What is the fastest UK time for a gtir does anyone know? I have a banzai mag from many years back that had a gtir thrash at bruntingthorpe, fastest was a 11.2 I believe.
Think it was a dp tuned car.

I did pal, a couple of times at York raceway!

I didn't comment as so long as it gets mapped up ok on Tuesday, I'll be taking it down the strip on Sunday! Now you've put the pressure on for me to get a quick time!! Haha!!

I have no idea what the quickest time would be, although I'd expect it to be much quicker than that matey!

PS, I'll bring the trophy again too! Smile

I hope you get it mapped up ok and ready for jap show. Just had a quick search and there was someone on modifiers ran a 10.6 at pod in 2009. But I don't know if it was road legal or a drag car.

You should have a lot more grip off the line at pod so hopefully you get a pb if you run mate.

Deffo no pressure! Lol!

Me too mate, I'm just going to drub down on my road tyres though and just go down the strip on those rather than the semi slicks, it's a long drive down for me, hopefully I'll still get enough grip off the line and get a good run in! Smile I deffo won't be running in the 10's though, I'll be happy if it's still close to 11.4! Smile

You will be fine, I on the other hand would probably stall it and look a right twat haha on a serious note I would like to run but on a day that's not so busy.

If you run mid 11 I would be impressed as I think that's about the fastest quarter I have seen a gtir run there.

Even on road tyres you should get off the nicely they prep the strip very well.

11.6, slightly slower than a previous PB, but I was full trim this time on road tyres, so I'm happy enough with that! Smile
