I have a pioneer pdp-433mxe
I had a loud bang and then the picture went off Sad
I searched the Internet and everything pointed me at the sound filter being fucked.
So I ordered one and fit it just now.
Now I get a power supply but when I turn the tv on all I get is the red light flashing 5 times.

Anyone able to help diagnose this? I've searched the net but being on an iPhone it's limited Sad

try figuring out the fault codes, kinda the same as a pulsar lol, but from what searching i done maybe you power supply

"There are a variety of flash codes for the screen. Some involve Blue Flashes, some Blue/red flashes and my particular sequence - red flashes. The red flashes happen if the screen shuts iself down or won't start and are on the screen LED not on the Tuner Box. There are a sequence of red flashes with 500ms (half a second) spacing followed by a gap of 2500ms (2 and a half seconds) The sequence then repeats. The number of flashes in a sequence indicates the area of the problem. My ten flash sequence indicates a "DC for X Drive" problem so they are going to replace the X Drive Board."

5 red flashes means "Power supply"

The sound filter is part of the power supply.
I have tried another power lead aswel.
I have messaged the company that I bought the power supply off to see what they say, as its looking like they've sent me a knackered part.
Thanks for the help.
