Well here it is and not like me but I don't care who it offends.

WHAT is wrong with some people. If you are taking your car to be repaired by someone DO NOT send it with no fooking fuel in.

It should be CLEAN AND TIDY  inside and out

Don't waste people's time and DONT lie as the truth could help save the mechanic /person time and you money even if it makes you look silly.

Last of All relevant to a lot of R owners of you can not afford your car please put it away safe for storage or buy something else. This word cheap keeps coming up now I am the first to know money don't grow on trees I work hard and long hours to afford things I want and need and love a discount. But realise people's time is not cheap and parts are not either. Example of part I am sure mark was quoted over 600 euro from Nissan for dizzy rotor and cap. Now that is close to £500 so should be a couple of hundred second hand. I personally want to see parts rocket in price as the cars do as with many performance cars where owners are willing to pay what there worth.so many examples and for anyone working on these say bob 1 of the above customers is worth 10 of a lot in the current owners of these cars.

I Must say this is nothing to do with mark just the price of the part was a perfect example and nothing to do with jack who's R i have worked on recent  if it hits a nerve with anyone else then you must feel guilty of one or all the above.

Unfortunately we live in a world where everybody wants something for nothing. I hate selling things for that reason. Also people don't understand the overhead of running a business and wonder why the cost of taking your car somewhere to get work done can seem expensive.

My brother and i stopped working on peoples cars because they fuck you about to much.
My brother would do a job and then the owner would say they didnt have all the money to pay for the job. Then a week later we would see them buying more things for their car!
They would get quotes for work and then moan and beg for it cheaper! Even tho the price first given was cheap in the first place!
I honestly dont know how Bob keeps going. He must have thick skin like a rhino!
Im all about bargains. And do all my own work. Im a single parent with other priorities.
But when i cant do the job myself i take it to a garage and pay the price!!

Very wise words above hey stu exactully what I am saying mate money is tight for everyone and it's good to barter but you hit the nail on the head cleaning it costs Nowt. Yes woody some garages are rip off and there work is shite but you do have to see both sides overheads are massive for companies these days

I work on lots of peoples cars and have never really had a problem with the above ... if your clear in your quote with the job in hand then there is no nasty suprises however you cant always forsee other problems that arise but always say as i find it so everybody is clear .... i tend to disagree with that i guess if im honest i cant really afford my r i do bits and bob on it as and when i can afford to and eventually get it back on the road ... not everybody has the luxury of a big bank account and dont see anything wrong with searching for bargains and doing things on a budget ... maybe i missed the whole point of the rant ???

my car is always a mess and never has fuel in it Sad

but ill never take my car to a garage and ask for money off, if i put my car ill make sure i have enough money to cover what they estimate it will cost, ive seen garages rinse friends with giving estimates and doing even more work than what was agreed without notification and telling the its fixed for extorniate price to only find out its been bodged up and needs to go somewhere else to be fixed properly.

I also found the occasion where i tell a mechanic that something is wrong and explain all the issues for them to hand the car back without half the things i asked to be done fixed.

I think its hard to find a decent mechanic these days and harly anywhere will touch a gti-r, i lost a lot of faith with mechanics these days and getting quoted £800+ for a clutch change was a bit of a tipping point as the excuse was simply "its a gti-r we dont really want to do it"

You do a lot your self tho mate would you send your car to be fixed with the fuel light on so they can hardley move it let alone test it. from what I know of you probably not. I am talking of for one example a mate who car was a wreck helped him find a new one was full of promise to look after it after he bought 1 and wrote it straight off then turns up Sunday with 2 bald tyres 6 point's or will crash it or crash into someone else more so if wet as no tread on tyres.
The sort of people who don't spend money but waste other's time and genuine people can not get through or there jobs booked in. None of that sounds like your style . Do you do stuff and buy as you can and enjoy it ? I talking of people that buy unnecessary parts and are the first to Winge or chase power but skimp on brakes you know the type

No course not if i send my car anywhere i always put extra fuel in and make sure its clean .... and totaly understand i dont have time for messers i ways believe in treat people how you would want them to treat you ...thats why i guess i have quite a good customer relations however some people are hell bent on taking the piss wich spoil it for others ... so totally understand your point johnny .

Exactly why before I ask anyone to do a job for me I make sure I've got the money for it ! I'd never be like "ohh I can't pay you yet because I can't afford it" it's crap business and leaves bad feelings ! As for no fuel? That's just a pisstake ....

If they haven't got the money to pay for the work thats been done, don't let them take the car, that should be made clear before you start

Its true space is more valuable than the car in some cases jonny. Anyway there is a standard practice as a man or woman in some case, and thats being able to handle your business whatever it is your doing in life. I think....

You should be glad you dont work on horticultural machinery Johnny, cunts....er customers send them in in such a state sometimes you cant tell what it is. These machines cut through all sorts of pooh, broken glass etc and the wankers make no attempt to clean the worst off or even worse when you have to make a visit to them.
Your right though, like others on here i always make an attempt to send my car in clean and topped up with fuel. If i was you i would put £5 of fuel in and charge them £10 but then its another hassle...

I can see where your coming from with what your saying Johnny Wink

Unfortunately I would say around 20% are either messers or time wasters that want the best of everything but have not got the money to pay for it so they try bait you down to a point where if there's a problem you are then stuffed as they haven't the money to pay for it and you can not afford to spend more time so you end up with a stalemate situation but in the end the loser is the one doing the work as the car is taking up space where you could be working on something else and earning the correct money.

Selling parts is a real nightmare too as no matter how cheap you advertise something people will still try and get it cheaper, but that will be after you've wasted time sending loads of photos from every conceivable angle lol.

Our running costs per month with the new business are huge and I work 16-18 hour days mostly seven days a week for very little reward, like you it often makes me wonder what the hell I bother for as would be far easier to get a job in a dealership or garage where I do normal days for a descentish wage.
I was far better off when I had my mobile business with 3 vans on the road and employed a couple mechanics, much smaller overheads and far less stress than what I have now just doing mainstream cars.

Things are easier now with social media and tinternet but in many ways it's muchmore work due to all the messers you have to deal with. Before the internet really took off people had to phone you if they wanted a job doing, not send you a zillion messages wanting to know the ins and outs of a cats asshole before they committed and tbh I much preferred it that way but times change and unfortunately you have to go with it or get left on the scrap heap.
