^ looks better than a dead rubber mount & way better than spending like 60bucks on a aftermarket solid mount. done a few nissans which had solids & homemade ones are normally just as good. Did you get a price for shipping of front polybush from USA (gspec), interested see what shipping is :-)

I have put it all back together and the same problem is still there Sad
One thing i have noticed tho. Is when i cant get it in gear. If i start to lift off the clutch pedal the gear slips in. While the engine is running.
Clutch fork fucked?
I have taken the slave apart and thats fine. And have bleed the system too.

lifting off clutch little causes some drive to the box & that movement is helping selector hub engage.
Looking likely be internal box issue, would be wise check clutch out a bit through rubber gaitor on bell housing.
What gears have issues & is it more issue changing down or up & does double clutching help !
does it grate or just feel physically blocked from going in gear !
whats the state of the gear oil !

When it started hapening it was while changing down gear. But very soon after i couldnt get gears changing up too.
It feels like the gear is blocked and then if i try a different gear it then frees up the blocked gear.
It isnt just one gear. Its random gears and happens to all of them.
I have put my finger in the gearbox fluid filler hole and theres fluid in there and its clear.
Guess i need to bite the bullet and take the gearbox off and inspect everything properly Sad

Have you drained the fluid though? Draining will show up shiney metal when a torch is on it.

could be problem with shift rods & forks internally & even shaft movement due to out of tolerance clearances can cause issues with selection.
is odd all gears seem play up same. hopefully you get some good weather as getting bit cold/wet in blighty for spanner work, although you probably not a big fairy like me with the cold :-) but jobs are always more enjoyable with bit of sun & no rain ...

Im not looking forward to doing it to be honest. I have done it on this car a few times already. Middle of winter last time. 7am start in freezing weather want the best of choices!
I just need to buy an impact socket for the castle nut on the driveshaft.
Is it 31mm i need to buy? I cant remember.
Thanks for the advice again.

32mm, deep socket tends be best if it smaller drive socket set.

Thought i had one but cant find one.

That's no good Stu, hopefully it's a fast job getting it out, and the problem isn't too hard to get sorted

Either the clutch fork or the pivot ball looks fooked to me Stu.
The fork should not be sitting that low over the pivot ball so either it's nearly worn through or the pivot balls badly worn.
This will affect the pivot point and the amount the pressure plate is depressed so therefore not fully releasing drive plate from flywheel so clutch is dragging which will make gear selection very difficult especially initial selection.

If you don't want to remove the box then why not do what bones did a while back! Simply cut the opening in casing where fork goes through then plate it when you've done the job.
You could then get the fork out and replace it, and the pivot ball also if needs a new one. Could say it's a lash but in a way it's a very good idea especially if you want it done quickly and don't have access to a lift.

Bit strange why releasing clutch pedal slightly helps as if dragging you would expect that to make it worse not better.
Do you still get jammed feeling when engine off as normally with dragging clutch selection seems as should be when engine not running.
Forks, plates & even covers come out of R's in all sort of fault states so deffo worth looking at in depth and cheapest & easiest resolve too really.

Thanks for the advice Bob. Im not keen on cutting the gearbox to make access easier to the clutch fork.
I have got myself in the mood to remove the box now so will do that.
Before i remove the centre diff from its casing i will just seperate the box from the engine enough to get the clutch fork out to inspect it first. Its only a couple of hours work lol

Gearbox is off. The clutch fork and pivot is okay.
So the next step is to take the casing off the gearbox.

Thats a shame stu would of been a cheaper option with clutch fork of pivot ball ... fingers crossed then fella ...

What about the clutch cover & friction plate, any chance plate warped so scuffing or cover springs weak on one side so not lifting evenly !
Did you still get same issue of jammed feeling when engine not running !?
If internal fault hopefully easy see & resolve the cause .
Least the uk weather having bit of sunshine for u stu Smile

I was having the same problem with the engine running or turned off mate.
I havent looked at the clutch or pressure plate as yet. It was just dropping dark as i got the box off. And i wanted to put all the tools and parts away before it was dark.
I will check it tomorrow after my lads football club.
Yeah the weathet is being kind for once Smile makes it more bearable lol
Only took 2 hours to get the box on the floor. I had to seperate the driverside driveshaft tho as the hub nut was solid Sad
Took the centre diff out too so transferbox is still in place Smile
Not bad considering i havent done it since about 2010 Smile
And only 2 cuts and no swearing or cursing Laughing

They not that bad take off once got working practice.
would rather do 3 R boxes than one 206 2.0 hdi ( I f00king hate Evil or Very Mad french cars)

Seems same issue when engine not running it does point to internal issue with rod/selector movement as mentioned before .
May the sun keep shining sir ...

I would of said if its the same with the engine on or off i would say its internal ... doesnt hurt to check the pressure plate to see how good it is and how much meat is left on it as you got the box off .. ...

I have just taken the casing off the gearbox and there's loads of small pieces of metal all over the place Sad something has come loose and been chopped up by the gears Sad its to dark to see what tho.
Had to do it in the boot of the pulsar with my lamp lol
