Be careful what you write on here guys as it's an open forum and to top it all there's a few malicious people on the other forum that would love to drop members on here in the shit

Mr Mike could get in trouble and lose his license / job for doing such stuff, so no more of that on an open forum please guys, plus the garage he works for could lose their license to carry out mot tests.

Fact is though that a cat is not a legal requirement to get mot on a grey import, there's a big BUT though.......it comes down to mot testers discretion if they are in doubt they will always air on the side of caution and possibly fail the car, better for them to fail it than being dragged over the coals for passing something they should have failed.
And many do not know the law so they are within their rights to fail a car without a cat on a 92> car that should be fitted with one although it's not needed and should only be tested on old non cat co2 and hydrocarbon test which is 3.5%
With regard to seat belts, just leave them fitted in rear without the seats as Leighton said, then no problem at all.

I sold a track car last year fitted full cage with harnesses to front and no seat belts whatsoever front or rear and it genuinely passed, it can not be failed if all is secure and restraining occupants of the car. Because the guy who bought it was a twat it Was picked up by someone on the other forum    that the car had a dodgy mot which was just not the case, actually it failed initially on a tyre and a couple other little bits that I rectified then passed retest genuinely, some of you may remember the thread on here and the oc
