Hahaha
I had no such luck!
On the way back from picking my first one up. The bottom pulley decided to seperate and because it was dark the battery started to die because there was no longer any charge to it from the alternator.
Not good coming down the M6 at night with your lights dimming and the car starting to splutter lol
Managed to get to junction 9 and then had to pull into a petrol station Sad

Touch wood - Car is driving like a dream! Not 100% what power she is putting out until I get down on Bob's Rolling road in a few weeks so we can check power and fueling - Until then taking it easy - still bags of fun!!
From what I know its a forged engine - Up-ratted turbo currently running 1.2Bar (it was running 1.4 but we took the bleed valve off and the actuator running 1.2 on its own) The exhause is mad popping and banging like a group A rally car...plenty of flames spitting out too.
I'm the 1st to say I'm not very technically hands on - I enjoy the driving! But I plan to learn as I go on this beast! (Best way)
Its as raw as it gets - but still has a fully interior, no radio or air con...just what I need gauge wise Inc. Boost, Rev count and Turbo timer.
Its front mounted intercooler - the whole car has been done well...and in seroiusly good condition for 25yrs.
I think the only thing I really want to do asap is replace the coolant tank which has seen better day and has changed shape with heat and been squeezed into the engine bay with the work done....no leaks but just to make it look better!
Other than that I just plan on tiding her up this year - arch work, wheel work, interior work...So I can get the full enjoyment out of her.
Then next year might look at some engine work with Bob...play it a bit by ear really:o)
Keep me in the loop at what coming up as I plan to show up to which ever events I can - put faces to names!
Cheers
Daniel
