sills and arches

Just had a good look around the pulaar and i need a passenger sill and both rear arches doing.
Anyone got any links for the sills?
Think it will be a bit longer before shes back on the road.

I know mate i am planning to sort it this year as its sat far to long ... but you know how it is with work commitments etc ....

I certainly know that mate but you are lucky like me you can do the work on cars yourself which is hard to make time but also saves money and relying on others so make some time or i will kick your arse and not in a kinky way lol

to be fair Nomad posted that company for panels & when I used it & searched slightly different n14 listing found the cheaper price so added that page link.
More than happy you credit Nomad as all funds will go into his R revival I hope :-)

His R will need modified for old age access if he dont make time to start it soon its begging for him just one nice day and a few hours to get back in to it and get the buzz back. We all need to push n motivate each other as times tight for people these days with work and commitments its easy just to say tomorrow or next weekend

I need to buy some rear arches too. Are all N14 rear arches common?

They 4 door repair sections but it all that available unless use oem nissan full quarter panel. The arch contour etc the same on all the N14 .
At price in UK they make very worthwhile custom arch patch with bit of trimming . inner arch guards can also be chopped and used as repair patches if needed and easier than shaping metal from scratch . standard body does well hold out 25yrs, doubt many modern cars will easily :-)

Yes thats it cosmic it beats making it out of plate as you have the right shape so less filler also you just mark it out then cut the piece you need tack it in place then keep tacking it working opposite sides to not get to much heat in the panel otherwise it will distort ....

generally it more than enough for R arch patching and only possibly lacking front lower arch area if was to be unlucky .
Worth checking inner arch guard fully and sill ends as these rot more than people realize .
Would assume if yours original paint etc and only just starting notice common arch issue rest probably good. Cars that get garaged or even just under a car port are massively cleaner ...

I can agree with Mr B on this after stripping my R. Both sills gone at the rear along with both rear arches; inner and outer. Didn't look quite as bad until I got a tapping hammer out, that soon showed the true damage...

Both panels arrived today and set me back a reasonable £65 all in.
Ive got it booked in on the 20th to get the arches done and the passenger door resprayed.

so, the garage needed the car for 2 weeks which is fine
More than a weeks gone by so I popped in today to check on progress to find the R out in the rain and fuck all had been done.
They hadn't expected me till Friday but still reckoned they could do 2 weeks worth of work in 4 days, hmmmmm.
Anyway, i asked for my keys back and drove it home, so now i'm back to square one.
