As above what does the middle pipe do? Seem to have a small slice in the pipe but only seems to drip a bit of fuel when the car is sitting, noticed a smell of fuel after car was parked, grrr wish the guy fixed all the pipes when it was done but only replaced 1 of them

Think the middle pipe is the return from the fuel rail.

Its about where the nozzle which the pipe goes over ends, its not serious and im not sure there will enough pipe to cut it back a bit, about 5cm from end of hose

maybe cut it back enough to try get split on the metal fitting.
Other option could be a joiner perhaps !
Bit of a PITA that :-/

i done that with the fuel pipe which is connected to the pump when that one split, it wasnt hard but it didnt work and just caused horrible running issues, i guess if its just a return pipe there is no pressure going into it so it shouldnt really affect anything?

As B said ^

Or if it's bad leave the factory return line where it is and run another new piece of fuel line from the tank to the metal fuel line. That will at least get you by until you drop the subframe and do it properly.

cheers ill see if i have enough to snip it back, connector in the pipe wont affect anything because its just a return? i used a connector on the left pipe and it caused all sorts of running issues

I can't see a connector causing any issue if connector bore not too small & it fitted well.
Would prefer shortening line if possible but it maybe worth effort on top effort on a join if you not in situation of replacement or running temporary line like woody suggested .
