Turbo elbow <a href=Turbo elbow Imagejpg3" />

Had this fitted for the last couple of days and must say what a difference.

Boost kicks in about 3200rpm instead of 4000rpm

Off boost driving seems a lot smoother

Top end power seems to be stronger as well

Running standard turbo, standard injectors, standard ECU, straight through mongoose, 1.2 bar boost.

Looks good! Standard tubby should kick in below 3000rpm tho so if yours not taking off before 4K, maybe some problem?

Maybe its because of long FMIC piping that causes lag?

Ok I should re-phrase that!

The boost used to build up from about 3200 then give you the kick at about 4000, now that kick is at 3000 instead if that makes sense?

Still have top mount fitted.

have to say that the ones bogdan was doing look to be far better quality and built to last the test of time, but lets face it anything is better than the shite stock elbow that Nissan fitted them with

Yeh Bogdans was amazing & great price & almost to beautiful to bolt on the car.
What did like look of from image on this one is the 3 flange down pipe looks to be tapped so saves hassle with nuts & clearance for them on large diameter pipe & weld seam which quite handy.

Isnt 1.2 bar a little high to run on stock everything? Genuinely curious here.

Cheers, Monk.

Excuse my mechanical spazness, would one of these bolt onto a car with a mongoose or do you need a 3 inch exhaust too?

And also worth replacing the elbow with a mongoose on there?

Looking at the description it does say it will fit the mongoose and its 2.75" in diameter

I'm sure bog dan could make one for any turbo and exhaust combo.

And 1.2 bar is fine on standard everything mr monk as long as it's checked or set up on a rolling road

Awesome, thank you for the answer. I'm guessing thats about the upper limit of what you would want to run though?

I have live mapped mine on the road at 1.2 bar using a laptop with Nistune software, old school Apexi SAFC and SITC, AEM wideband to make sure my fuelling and ignition are good. On the RR at Milton Keynes it made 316bhp and 351nm of torque, I would say the car is more powerful now with this elbow fitted it has definitely made the top end more responsive. The engine is also forged.

These are 2.75 not 3 inch elbows, I wanted this until I get a full custom 3 inch exhaust in the summer as I felt the standard elbow was restricting the power. It's a straight bolt on to the mongoose and as Mr B says the flange is tapped making fitting easier.

Not bad for £140 as comes with fittings such as gasket & studs/bolts.
easier fit & remove over the 3" purely as have bit better access to nuts.
2-3/4" is good enough for a lot of people on that size system & not super extreme power goals.
All 3 sold already ...

Well I see one of these yesterday that someone had bought and wanted fitted whilst doing a gearbox change

Perhaps yours is better quality spike I don't know! but the one that came down with car I would really not want to fit

The welds were shocking inside and out and would imagine after a few heat cycles it would crack and warp

Thickness of steel on main elbow was way too thin (as above)

The boss is in the wrong place to fit a lambda probe also it's bossed wrong as has wideband fitment not narrowband that gtir has and if you fitted a wideband that close to turbo it would not last long at all.
If it was correct size and it took the narrowband then you would find the main wire would melt on underside of the exhaust manifold

So the man in question is sending it back

Rosunny's on here were in a different league in terms of build quality and materials used

I think the chap who is selling them was on the GTiROC a while back, he owned one of the cream developments wide arch car that was a weird salmon colour and he then turned it white and had the front light grill things, I'm sure I recognise his company and that it was from Blackpool.

What is the difference with the fitment for the lambda bob looking at the pic on page 1 is it because it is out of the main elbow unlike the stock one were it goes right in if that makes sense.
