City link has gone tits up

As above. I personally did not realise they used so many sub contractors but ther vans were stickered up city link

they were shit anyway so no surprise they went tits up

Yes, lost a parcel I was shipping in UK for 2 weeks.
Proved useless at support too, lucky company receiving goods were good & helped in pestering them until it finally got found & resent.
Quite a few of them sub contract & that generally effects quality of deliveries negatively :-/ plenty more couriers but not a good new year for some people linked to the company :-/

I bet there is some parcels floating about in depo up and down the country. It said collect them in person but it would not be staying open long. Would like to know how they think you know where in the process ie which depot there at

I see it on the news the other day that they had gone to dogs .... i was quite suprised as they have been around for quite some time so well established company ...

Yea no one is safe mate when big firms like them and woolworths go down

It's hard to imagine how big well established companies go under, they must be doing something wrong. Every case is different I guess.

Citylink were bought out last year but whatever company bought them couldn't keep them going

^ sounds ridiculous, they took a contract when you paid for the service & that should be honoured by company/ administrators.
If bought out recently very likely bit of a scam with borrowed investment capital then administrators/bankruptcy ... shocking mess ...

as crap as it is probably

I know administrators and the goverment take any assets worth out and then and only then if anything is left do others get a share but even then its wrong

20,000 the goverment /revenue tax take theres
6,000 left of the 20 is given to the solicitors

Me and you say as contractor are waiting on 3 grand each
The solicitor takes 4 grand were left massivly out of pocket and were among many others so will end up with pennies or normally

That is a very rough of how the system works like so many things in this country a joke with only one doing ok the goverment
