I've used search but had no joy

Anybody ever polished the plenum?

Gonna give it a go with sandpaper just to make it look abit smarter

Reckon it might take a while

wire wheel on a drill to get it smooth then you can finish it off with some 400 wet n dry and then compound and polish it
takes a while though to get it really shiney but wire wheel is deffo best and quickest

looks good. but I imagine a plenum would take a long time as it's got all the casting texture to smooth away. going to be a real labour of love to polish it up.

I would of thought a polished plenum would be easier to clean? Surely its harder to remove dirt etc from the casting marks?

I sand blasted one of my old ones and started polishing it but gave up lol. It's not a hard job and time consuming. Mine had a lot pitted marks that really showed up.

Small pits is the major problem along with any minor tarnishing as shows up so easily when polished.
On Rocker covers, alloy intake pipes & plenums I use a local shop who bead blasts them for even texture then uses an acid treatment that gives a really nice satin silver finish that has proved be corrosive resistant & easy wipe clean with contact spray or wd40.
Looks smarter than oem finish but without being to over stated.
Came across it after having rocker covers beyond polishing or polished but badly tarnished.

The plenum I'm using at the moment is just sand blasted, gets really dirty if grease gets on it but I like that raw look.

you need to get it run over with glass bead and that will stop it getting so dirty and make a lot easier to clean or even better vapour blasted.
