Gave my gearbox a coat of paint today, makes such a big difference, also took the gearbox mounts off and painted them aswell. Need to fit flywheel and clutch and then motor/ gearbox is ready to go in.

Looks really good! What did you use to degrease it before paint?

A can of wax and grease remover and rag, took a little while but came up alright. It wasn’t really dirty to start which was good.

Finished off the inlet manifold, pretty happy with it, should be much more reliable with all the factory vacuum ports welded up and the vacuum block on top.

Like that mod a lot! Looks very neat and deffo help with the reliability / accessibility.

good effort on tidying up the pipes ...

Yup engine is back in the car mate, just tidying up a few things and need to make a new intake pipe as I have an air box now. After putting engine in so many times it was pretty easy, worked out a few things that make it much easier

Where's your intercooler pipework on the engine side routed?

It actually goes through the back of the airbox, a section is removable to fit the pipe easier. Im just running a shorter style pod filter to clear the pipe inside the box.

top mount works well for piping, access and eye candy .
