Whilst doing a service on the other halfs car today I discovered another cause for high idle probs and hunting.
Believe it or not it's the carbon canister.
Could hear air leaking very faintly so thought there was a split pipe but after digging about I discovered the canister itself was at fault so swapped it for another and problem sorted with no more hunting either.
Easily overlooked but if you look at the piping the bottom pipe breathes to atmosphere so if it's broken down inside you just as well be running an open vacuum line lol
So little heads up for you guys with high idle issues, deffo worth checking especially due to age of them now
