Right i have the use of a 2 post ramp in a few weeks so im now really looking for the parts i need ,
plans are engine out on a saturday and back in on the sunday .
And fitting new clutch and turbo
Im also looking for a reinforced clutch arm  ( saves me getting welder out on the day )
.
So my GTIR currentley has a stage 1 turbo technics running at 1bar   .
Im looking to replace with either the same turbo or a turbo that will be a direct replacement .

And clutch is an Exeedy organic .

Im running 330bhp at 1bar  at the mo but once a new turbo is fitted will be 350bhp with ease

I need links to clutches and turbos please gents .  really struggle with google and working out what is genuine etc
the ebay add below must be fake   £180 for a brand new turbo!!!!!!
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/GT2871-GT2860-T25-T28-Flange-400HP-sr20det-s14-Universal-Turbo-Turbocharger-/400514287292?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item5d408306bc
i know it's not for a pulsar just shows that shit is out in the internet world

And also any advice on what clutches are good and or bad

I await a response from BOB saying he has  parts on the shelf

I am also in search for a turbo if I can't find a second had one might just buy a new
Gt2860rs is quick spooling turbo will do 350bhp but I've read that's pushing it to its limits (might be wrong but that's what I've read)
Gt2871r would be a much better turbo for 350bhp+ I think a lot of people would prefer this over the gt2860rs
Gt3071r for 400bhp and above, I no some one who has one of these for sale I would have bought it off him but it's no good to me as the turbo is to big for me
Id also be interested in some links for turbos as there are a lot of fake turbos out there

a new standard stage 1 should see 350bhp on my motor .
330bhp at 1 bar currently they will run 1.4bar+ easily when shiny new

Anybody got any views on the clutches fusion are selling
http://www.fusion-motorsport.co.uk/shop.html?page=shop.browse&category_id=26

What would you choose for a car with 350bhp ? that does a max of 1500 miles a yaer

Stage 2 Fusion CC clutch is good as is a Helix really.
Not sure if current helix are as good as was as they use to do 2 organic versions & now only list 1 organic & not sure if that same spec as the best organic from old range.
Organic is best for road use & gives gearbox easier life too, expect bob could do you a reinforced release arm.
A GT2860RS should manage 360hp, they are super low lag & work great in real world road use & on track if don't want big power. A proper setup 350ish hp on a GT2860RS & a decent clutch is a great all rounder really & can be very very reliable & a pleasure to drive & own.
Likes of Owen Developments or any decent turbo specialist should be ok for genuine turbos, just don't buy from eBay.

If im honest Mr B i'm hoping i'd see 350 from a new stage 1 turbo

That you will but the way the boost is delivered is a mile apart thus your power & torque will come in quicker & be on tap almost instantly.
All comes down to what you want & what money you want spend really as turbos ain't cheap.

I'm thinking a stage 4 cc clutch and the sprung not solid clutch

depends on your usage, if mainly road then a good organic is way to go, if more track & sprint then ceramic paddle can be good (6puck sprung being the more gentle/user friendly). stage 3 segmented could be good compromise but all comes down to vehicle use as wrong choice will ruin the car.

Will only be road use.. But only want an organic that will cope easily..
Got an exeedy organic in at the moo and it's slipping on full boost

Helix or stage 2 CC. I have run a Helix HD organic for years without issue, CC are good clutches too. Both will handle the power .
Paddles are a complete cock on a road car & do no favours on 20year+ old standard GTiR transmissions.

don't brag till you got it in hand, eBay is a gamble on anything really but indeed if careful you can get the odd good buy.

Hope so was more to say keep a eye out theres good clutches come up at reasonable prices. And the fact helix are a good clutch would highly recomend them hold good torque and pedal is very light on the car compaired to my white car which is running excedy single hyper carbon

Not to worried e bay is all for the buyer the seller aint got a leg to stand on i find these days even if its a good item they sold and can prove it was they favour the buyer. Its a private seller has reciept and its brandnew dont know of any helix copies. Anybody heard of copies ? time will tell

I would always get the flywheel skimmed when fitting a new clutch to make sure the flywheel is flat

Is there somewhere local that can do it? When I did mine years ago, I took it in to a company and waited 15mins for them to skim it there and then.
