Basic set up is not to bad but depending on your set up to get its full potential i would let a tuner set it up

Like i say boost etc is not bad but you can set different boost per gear etc which helps gearbox etc. alot of people say avcrs are rubish to set up etc so sell but i think there great monitoring and the boost solinoid for example is right up there with the best for quick reaction time for one advantage.like i say if you want a simple boost controller they are expensive and awkward but i highly recomend them

I agree with johnny, i have always used avcrs. I spoke to horesham developments the other day regarding setting up mine and playing around with my nistune and they quoted £299 all in. Which i thought was good.

Yes as long as you put in a couple of basic settings then keep boost seting low or off

I have mine currently monitoring, and is currently running actuator pressure in the off position. Can't wait to get it all mapped in in the new year. Was pretty straight forward to fit too just requires a bit of wire identification and soldering. No more than a couple of hours even if you take your time

Heres a basic guide that may help, Ive been trying to set mine up for the past 2 years & not got it perfect but its close enough!

Also on a standard engine & turbo 60 - 62% duty is 1 bar :)Hope it helpd you

http://www.3si.org/wiki/index.php?title=How_to_CORRECTLY_tune_your_Apexi_AVC-R_Boost_Controller&redirect=no

Also it dousnt tell you on this guide... But before you do anything you need to go into your settings & look for gear judge & select each gear & drive the car in the selected gear for 10 seconds @ 2000rpm so the AVCR can learn your gear ratios. then you can start setting it up Wink

Its quite simple.. I understand the basics, just time consuming & have to boost a lot to set it up, Still backing off boost a liitle mine tho, no matter how much I adjust F/B speed or the start duty  Rolling Eyes  but I think that's due to a crack around my wategate penny on my turbo?

hi guys,

need your input.

on my basic set up. for avcr.

I try to follow this link:

http://www.nissansilvia.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=167038

I disable the learn gear mode and did a settings A

I set boost .70 and duty cycle 30%

on NE Points i try to follow this:
1. 1500rpm
2. 2500rpm
3. 3000rpm
4. 3500rpm
5. 4000rpm
6. 5000rpm
7. 6000rpm
8. 7000rpm

then i change the fb settings

to 5 5 5 5 5 for all gears

then after that i try to do a quick run on 1st gear around 4krpm. i'm boosting around 1.1bar so i instantly fall of the gas.

So want to know if what can you advice to do some changes and on which part?

Thanks
