Not so long back someone was asking about a bad earth on their car and someone, I think Bob said how to do a easy test to find out what was causing the battery to drain...
Can anyone get a link up to the thread please.

you can narrow it down stu by removing each fuse in turn then note when the amp drop stops.
one of the biggest culprits of battery drain is ice systems not wired in correctly and bearings in alternator failing causing windings to short whilst the car isn't running

electrical things like this can be a complete and utter nightmare with old cars and associated wiring as nothing is ever as it seems
