1961 jaguar mk2 . With disc brakes all round
3.8 6 cylinder

Was registered in california in 1961 and was last on the road in 1990 when it was taken off the road and stored in a barn .. found in 2003 and imported into the uk and put in a barn untill 2 weeks ago .


Needs new suspension bushes , 4 tyres , brake lines , and a repair to the bulhead .
Is weird it's a 12v positive earth ..
Weird to see the + going to the chassis and the - going to the starter solenoid

Going alright considering I've not really advertised yet... Cars getting Stickered up this week got my business cards in shop windows already... Had work from friends of friends and they have put other people on to me etc...
Just took a call about restoring a classic beetle ..

Once word gets out that I'm available i can see me being busy ...

How do you price up a restoration work ... i bet thats hard to put a time scale on it ... i did a engine rebuild on old school vw camper nice and easy to work on ...

is this one your restoring rob or have you bought it?

It's a friend of mines car .. Asked me to put it on the road for him and has said whenever i want it it's mine to use !

As for pricing the resto job just gave the bloke i cheap ish day rate and said when im quiet i'll do his car ..

Well after 2 months she is nearly done !
