Just a quick one I hope, I thought I may aswell sort out problems before im back on the road again.
Car idles fine at 900rpm, it's when you give it 100% throttle that it sticks at anything from 1200-2000rpm.
What's causing it exactly and how do I sort it out? I think it's on the throttle bodies on the springs? but I need to know what needs doing exactly.
Like I said its probably a no brainer but thought I'd ask anyway :-)

could be a whole host of things matt, heres some stuff to keep you busy in order that generally cause this prob!

air leaks (most common)
pcv valve not sealing
idle speed control valve sticking
iacc vale not working as it should do
engine to ecu temp sensor
incorrectly set or tampered with air bypass screws on throttle bodies
worn throttle bodies control spindle and seals (replace the throttle bodies as its easier)

If I pull over pop the bonnet and then just flick the rocker for the throttle it used to drop back to normal idle as if its not quite closing properly. Cos on trying to accelerate the pedal felt stiff till unpushed theough it and thats when ot used to stick. That might be a better description

you may just need to lube up the linkages assuming the accelerator cable has some play in it!
could also be carbon deposits slightly holding butterflies open
try spraying some carb cleaner directly into air intake with one hand revving the car a little that may cure it
