Oil cooler pipework

Hi all,

I want to change my oil cooler from front mount to mount it around were the original top mount was. More for looks than anything.

Now my pipework is way too long and its a mocal kit. I have looked for shorter hoses but it seems you can use euroquip lines and push on connectors is this ok to do? Mine are braided and am unsure how to make them up myself (may check out youtube)

Has anyone made up their own lines?

Not sure what they charge merlin motorsport make lines up. Mocal should sell you a set or one of there distributes will ie braided ones. Demon tweeks have a in house for making stuff ( I think) and companies like pirtek etc that do hydrolic hoses will crimp ends on. Maybe a agricultural place or someone doing diggers ride on grass cutters. Lots of options mate. Stuff like this personally use crimp on ends as less likly to let go and starve the engine. They do them as 2 of my kits are mocal top mount. I think it's the golf they list them for or something ie short lines as where you connect them on whichever engine it's short run to front of car

I have made up all my own lines mate. I probably wouldn't use the push on type. Not sure the specifics on that brand but that type of hose (400 series) is rated to about 100c and a clamp is recommended over 70c. I would go with either 100 or 200 series hose/ fittings. That's just my opinion though

Some good fittings out there but they expensive .
I prefer getting pressed fitting at local hose shop as so cheap & super reliable .
