Take long to get all the bends right Nigel? When I did mine it felt like a nightmare mucking around to get it all right.

Yeah Chris, it was a nightmare to make. Trying to cut a piece of oval pipe at two angles in one cut took some trial and error. Was worth it in the end as it sits up high so I have plenty of ground clearance.

That clearance turned out pretty good, looks like it's tucked right up there. Haha sounds exactly like mine, absolutely hated it Laughing

Good job on the oval front pipe, surprised never saw manufactured system with it as best way really with limited route & low position .

Cheers Bob.

Plan is to have it running by July. Just got a heap of little bits to do under the bonnet. Only big job left is wiring in ECU, I drew up a diagram a while back but it needs a few tweaks.

Looks like it will be a fun wiring job, you are going to be running some good input and outputs through the ecu Nigel, it will give you alot of options. Will be interesting thumbsup

Swirl tank finally built. Design is compromised a little due to room but it will still work.

Has been awhile since I've updated this so here goes. I ended up making 3 air diversion plates to prevent air going around the radiator. The front plate has a air bleed for the water 2 air system.

My VET Build - Page 2 Tec8Pk
My VET Build - Page 2 MeHcCu
My VET Build - Page 2 RmIusk

Water 2 air system is now all done. Had a water flow issue were the 80 litre pump pushed the water around the tank so fast it left no water in the center and the pump sucks air. A small alloy plate fixed that issue, lucky it was only a 5 min fix.

Purge valve fitted as im not using the std charcoal canister. I don't like the vacuum setup on the std unit and my ECU has full control over purge now. Fitting a one way check valve in the line to prevent boost pressure bypassing the valve.

My VET Build - Page 2 AatpQW

Made a inlet fuel temp sensor adaptor. Even tho im running a eflex sensor that has a built in fuel temp sensor I want to know the fuel temp going into the fuel rail. This info is required for the ECU. Plus it will be interesting to see how much the temp increases from inlet to outlet over different conditions.

My VET Build - Page 2 6KiHug
My VET Build - Page 2 Wliycv

Removed the turbo again to drill and tap the compressor housing for boost control signal line. Also made a bracket for the boost solenoid to bolt too.

My VET Build - Page 2 Qcexgk
My VET Build - Page 2 XmccvR

Got my alloy welding a lot better so welded on the BOV adaptor, boss for air temp sensor and idle speed control valve.

My VET Build - Page 2 4xWmo3
My VET Build - Page 2 EGMg6H

PCV side of the rocker cover done. Im running two catch cans in this build one for the vacuum side and the other when on boost. From the rocker cover I have the oil air separator, then PCV valve, then a one way check valve to prevent boost into the rocker cover. Made a bracket to mount the fuel pressure regulator off the engine to limit vibrations. Also fitted a fuel damper and Honeywell pressure sensor which is another ECU input.

My VET Build - Page 2 Om0yqE

All oil and water lines made up. The ones near the manifold and block were heat shielded. Fitted a Force Performance turbo oil feed filter. Seems to be risk running and not running them, plan is to change oil frequently so ill see how quick they block. Since im running a electric water pump the water lines into the turbo are different. This will give me colder water into the turbo plus allow the turbo to have water flow once the motor is stopped but the Davies Craig water pump controller is running.

Next was the water flow around the motor and heater with a electric water pump install. Its not as simple as just connecting the electric water pump to the lower radiator hose. The std setup is a push and suck around to the remote thermostat so without a booster pump cold water from the radiator will pass over the ECU temp sensor before it heats up in the block. This gives a false reading. Ive seen so many FWD/4WD (that have remote thermostats) ride blogs guys fit electric pumps and rave how there temp is so low. Well that's because there measuring radiator water temp. Also if fitting the Davies Criag controller the temp sensor needs to be mounted @ the head outlet. I fitted a 20 Liter booster pump as recommended by the Tech guys at Davies Craig. The Nissan thermostat is still being used with a hole drilled into it to bypass a small amount of coolant at low temp.

Slowly getting there. Work has slowed down a little so progress is slower than I hoped for. Intercooler pipe has been made from 2.5" alloy bends. Turbo 4" intake and stage one of the air box done. Latter on ill make a duct from the factory hood scoop  into the air box. I put another air temp sensor in the turbo intake pipe to see what the difference in air temp is with different cold air setups. BOV plumed in, all wastegate lines done.

Finally finshed off the wiring diagram. I reckon ive sent over 20 hours on wiring design so far. Plan is to make my own tefzel loom.

Had to remake my brake caliper mounts as I change from GTR calipers to GTST to fit under 15" rims.

Next on the list is to run the oil cooler lines to the oil cooler and weld a alloy boss onto the intake pipe for the Exhaust gas pressure snubber.

Engine bay looks good enough to eat your dinner off Cool
What is a tefzel loom, might be a stupid question but never heard of it?
