Hybrid standard Turbo

Just curious to know if anyone has bored out the standard turbos and did it make much of a difference. Was speaking to the guys at Midlands turbo and they can build these from your standard turbo. I know people will say just get another turbo but I want to keep everything the original fitment. I ran a hybrid ct9 on my old GT Starlet the spool up time was lightening fast.

They said it'll be around £400

So is that turning it into a bb turbo ?
