Cheers mate, to be honest I've lost a bit of motivation over the past month but having you say that has made me want to work on the car again.

Pete went to do the oil seals but noticed they are slightly different. On the originals they have like a neck where the drive shafts slides into where as the new ones don't, not sure if you could speak to the seal place again and see if they have the same ones. I'll bring them along to the meet to show you, but here's a pic.

Yeah I've seen seals like that before, not sure what they are technically called but some of our machinery uses them. Think they act like a double seal? scratch If you bring the old one Mark I'll take it with me to the place to match it Wink

Been a busy boy this last week either reading/ordering parts or working on getting the car back together.

Wire brushed the rear arches to see what condition they were in, drivers is fine but passengers is a bit rotten, but already have replacement panels for both sides as/when required.
ongoing build - Page 4 IMAG0943

Gave the coilovers a little clean up.
ongoing build - Page 4 IMAG0942

Then today after a trip to bobs to collect some parts I've begun to finally return parts onto the car, began with all new brake line clips and then up went the fuel tank

Got some more bits back from the powder coaters today ready to rebuild the weekend. Exhaust brackets and washers/cups for sub frame.

Picked up an anti roll bar from bob the weekend and not sure whether to powder coat it or see if I can get it anodized. Have no idea what colour to go for yet

Busy on the car again this weekend but the list of bits required is getting longer.

Had my friend come over and sort out the rear strut turret and bit of rust on the floor. Tried to start the car but the battery won't hold a charge, had enough to prime the fuel pump several times and so far no leaks from the new pipes on the tank.

But all ready for the sub frame new weekend and hopefully all good for my track day on 15th November

you won't be able to get it annodised because it's not alloy made!!!!! so powdercoating is the way to go

Cheers Fred, wasn't sure what the process was for anodizing. So powder coating it is.

Bebb. From what we've found the rear strut turrets are a water trap with a tripple skin, behind the rear bumper where the pressure vents for the boot are, the seam behind the drivers and passengers seats has a thin tripple skin and the common arches. After my track day I'm dropping it to my friend for a few weeks so he can hunt around and treat areas now before the begin to go.

Well it's been a manic last few weeks getting the car ready for a track day on Friday and the weather has hampered progress, but the car is close to being road worthy (mot time tomorrow).

Now for my baby to go on, I was such a girl when fitting this to keep it nice and clean I got a fair bit of stick from the boys helping

And just want to say a huge thank you to super Bob who really saved the day for me today after I snapped a bolt as it would have been game over for the track day.  Lucky I live 5 minutes away, oh and you will be seeing me again in the morning I'm afraid as I'm missing a few other bits.
