I know its not a Nissan but just thought some of you who I know are into their classics would be interested.
So after making a fatal error when fitting a new carb and running the engine with a washer in the inlet it was time to take the engine apart for a rebuild!
Striped to its component parts
Im no expert but these dont look right!!
Checked the gearbox and found broken bits! (Bob did tell me there was something not right in there)...
Then started putting it back together...fun bit!
Block honed, skimmed and painted up. Also has been machined for a dry deck conversion.
Custom made camshaft made...first one of its kind
Rods
New forged pistons with floating pins
Arp studs
Head skimmed, valves machined down to the largest size that would fit in the head! Waterways plugged for dry deck conversion
Block starting to go back together now
Black rubber!
Starting to look good now!
Just waiting on a few bits to get delivered but booked in to the dyno on Monday so looking forward to seeing the results.
