So I finally got myself half descent compressor.
14.6CFM 3HP  8Bar  50L direct drive

It takes about 1min 30 sec to fill it from empty and 20 sec from 6 to 8 bar.
It keeps up with my die grinder I've ported one head and manifold and it's still in one piece.
Bad points: generates quite a bit of heat and it's bloody noisy...
But it's man enough for my half inch air gun, well for wheel nuts anyway haven't tried hub nuts yet lol

Does fill up quite quick all these type seems to be noisy

Direct drive.... Is more in to fucking noisy territory... But I won't complain for a price. I was looking at hydro vane compressor at ebay but it it was taen off listing 2 days before end...

price is superb, imagine 2 of them in parallel. massive SCFM to cope with most stuff for home use. ideally need the direct drives in outer block built lean-to with some noise padding as they evil db :-S

Price is really good. No need to spend big on compressors for the garage at home, wish I looked for cheaper options before I got mine.
