I wouldn't say misfire sounds more like a limiter but the car idles and drives fine except it
Cuts in a 4000 rpm with throttle down but if i ease throttle in i can drive normal except full foot throttle under load.

I haven't checked anytthing yet as this was last night it happened.

Feels the same symptoms as my old mk2 golf which had an ignition amplifer which went dodgy.

More than likely it's a dodgy afm or connection to it

Do a fault code check.
Check the vacuum on the fpr too.

Just come back from the ring so lots of flinging it about could have minced up a connection i guess. Just drove it now and it's driving fine but components aren't warmed up.

Just bought ig leads, dizzy cap and rotor arm and an ig amplifier. Prior to that in low speeds always felt abit hesitant at low speeds underload but thats another issue

Thanks bob

Ok so it's none of the above is was

Wait for it

Water down the plug hole. Should really look sometimes.

Massive down pour driving back from germany and down pour here with no winter blanks in as i took them out before the track. What a melon.

Hey anyone know where i can get a spark plug cover?

Also another weird thing with the temp gauge. As i floor it the temp gauge drops back and forth like a boost gauge. Going to take the clocks out and check connections.
