Primera gt turbo

Well alots happened, changed jobs got my weekends back with new job etc so thought I'd treat myself to a new project for this year.

1998 Primera gt, got it for £225 only 180k on the clock and 8 careful owners but to be fair not much rust just knackered water pump, usual wear and tear.

Got 2 exhausts to fit, gt spoiler, lowering springs, alloys flared arches and a few decals then pulsar turbo conversion with new clutch, gearbox and engine components

Nice, sounds like you got a really good price.

Yeah well it's worth that in parts so I thought I'd give it go and as we all know the SR20 engine us I've if best out there

Not too sure Leighton but I'm gonna try and keep the original engine in, and I think they did do an awd Primera but there fucking rare

Well after a week of tinkering and plenty or welding and cutting finally fitted the exhausts and spoiler

Just on the look out for some alloys got a sunstrip to fit and maybe looking at lowering springs depending on size of wheels I go for, then it's time to get engine out and turbo it

Exhaust came up looking good.

Max power looks I must say, not the look I would have gone for.
But good luck with the turbo conversion.
Drill the block lower half for oil drain.
Gtir t28 turbo, manifold, down pipe will work on the sr20de engine.

Yeah I'll see what's happening my end, I really enjoyed rockingham last year, I'm looking at doing my local hill climb for the day in the pulsar and there is the Anglesey track which is about an hour and a half away so was gonna do them to be honest, but I'll keep an eye out this season as I've got more time off now with new job again

Little update

Been busy most evenings on her, plenty of rust to get rid of, car must be 10kgs lighter and I've still got the off side arch to do

Got new wishbones, drop links, CV boots, lowering springs literally most service parts and some nice shiny powder coated parts

Hopefully be on the road in a month without turbo conversion for now, decided to get the black pulsar to the body shop instead

Be intersting to see how it pulls with turbo'd power going just to the front wheels.
The alloys you're looking out for, will they be low aspect ratios for better grip?
